Welcome aboard to Ames EAA Chapter 1452. On behalf of EAA and its 170,000 members, thank you for choosing to join our local aviation chapter/squadron. We have put together a master plan with general aviation education and community out reach activities scheduled through 2007. We are EAA’s newest recreational aviation family.

As more local members join, high standards and expectations are of very much importance to EAA. I promise to make membership easy and enjoyable.  Whether you are a pilot or a builder, each of us on the board is focused on your General Aviation safety, education and enjoyment. It is a privilege to share this responsibility with so many talented and dedicated EAA Colleagues. I invite students, farmers, business people, and vets, to come share stories and learn how to
build, buy, own or just fly an airplane. Safety, Value, Education and Fun – These promises are what you should expect from EAA Chapter 1452 and are the cornerstones of my commitment to you.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you.

Scott T. Olson
